“A patient once told me that neurofeedback worked for him ‘like meditation on steroids…”
“With neurofeedback we hope to intervene in the circuitry that promotes and sustains states of fear and traits of fearfulness, shame, and rage….”

Neurofeedback Therapy
Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, brain-based training method that supports regulation of the nervous system by helping the brain learn new patterns of connection. It’s particularly useful for trauma, chronic pain, dysregulation, and persistent nervous-system stuck states where talking therapy alone may not fully resolve the underlying physiological imprint. Rather than working through thoughts or memories, neurofeedback works directly with brainwave activity, allowing the brain to gradually learn new, more balanced patterns over time.
For some people, especially those feeling overwhelmed, shut down, or unable to start talk-based therapy, neurofeedback can be a helpful starting point — building enough regulation, safety, and stability to later engage in more tradiational talking-based therapies. For others, it can be used alongside other therapies, deepening their effectiveness by supporting a calmer, more regulated nervous system to foster new patterns of being.
Neurofeedback therapy may be helpful for:
Nervous system dysregulation (hyperarousal or shutdown)
Trauma, anxiety, and emotional reactivity
Chronic stress, burnout, or sleep difficulties
Concentration, focus, or attention issues (ADHD)
Persistent tension, headaches, or sensory overload
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unable to engage in therapy
Neurofeedback gently supports the brain in learning more regulated patterns, and for some people, can be a helpful foundation before or alongside therapies such as IFS and EMDR.
